Share Your World – 2016 Week 23

And now for this week’s Share Your World (

What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)?

Well, the first job I had was actually as an accompanist at the Conservatory of Regina.  I played piano for other instrumentalists in recitals.  I had a time card and everything!  This was even before I had a “real” job in retail (which I think lasted all of 2 months…)

What is your favorite month of the year?

October.  Because, Hallowe’en!

What three things in nature do you find most beautiful?

The ocean, mountains and trees.  All of which I see on a daily basis here in lovely Victoria, BC!!

List at least five of your favorite spices? (excluding salt and pepper)

Well, some of these may be technically herbs, but my research shows that people call them spices anyway, so don’t be calling me on the technically part!!  Cumin (I put that in pretty much everything), cilantro, basil (I also put this in almost everything!), rosemary, and cinnamon.  I really wanted to say garlic, garam masala, and curry, but I am completely sure I would get called out on those!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Grateful for this last week?  It is sounding like a mantra, but my work colleagues, friends, and family who have been so supportive for the past several months.  It’s been tough, but I couldn’t be feeling as good as I am right now without them. More cowbell everyone!!

And next week?  Well, let me think.  What could it be I am looking forward to next week?  I just don’t know…hmmm…maybe….the beginning of my….wait for it….Vacation???? 🙂
