I’m not really hungry right now…
In response to the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/food-for-the-soul-and-the-stomach/
Tell us about your favorite meal, either to eat or to prepare. Does it just taste great, or does it have other associations?
Well, I don’t know. I love to eat lots of foods and food combinations. I will often get the same thing every time we go to specific restaurant because I know it will be good. I think I like to cook, and occasionally cook something I like (and I’ll make it again, but hit and miss if it’s the same more than once in a row). Right now all I can think about are the comfort foods I used to like, but can’t eat any more. Like regular fresh baked bread, regular pizza, regular mac and cheese (meaning non-gluten-free). And of course I love cheese and potato chips.
But enough of these “favourite” thing questions. I’d rather send you out into the sun for my walk yesterday!
It was a walk in suburbia, near where the other campus I work at sometimes (the one NOT in the country).
But I was surprised to find some trails too, and bravely explored them.
Here I had to decide which one to take…the one to the right….
Or the one to the left….I chose left.
See, still houses everywhere – this is one of the ones I saw having a bit of work done.
But then I turned a corner and found chickens! Gotta love Victoria!
And, of course, lots of flowers blooming
Even irises – the first I’ve seen this year (VERY early…)
And trees doing their things
If I had had time, I would have had a rest, but alas, I had to get back to work…

Thanks 🙂
Wow, Em – what a henhouse !!! VERY spiffing !
I’m waiting to see if Victoria is ahead of everyone else’s season all the way; meaning, will it turn back to winter sooner, too …
You keep quiet – although, our “winter” does not resemble real Canadian winter…
I am quite sure it cannot; because otherwise how could it be so feeble ? 😀
What fun. Thanks for taking us along on your walk. https://grieflessons.wordpress.com/2015/03/28/my-good-sisters-stroganoff-shepherds-pie/
