Imagine if you will…
In response to the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/mortons-fork/
If you had to choose between being able to write a blog (but not read others’) and being able to read others’ blogs (but not write your own), which would you pick? Why?
Ok, something you should know about me, which will absolutely not come as a surprise to any of you familiar with my daily posts, is that I never play the game “If you had to PLACE SOMETHING THAT PROBABLY WILL NEVER HAPPEN HERE, what would you do?” Never. Drives some people nuts! “But, what if?” They say Just imagine!” But no, I won’t play.
Why? I don’t know. Perhaps because I don’t like to be pulled into imaginary scenarios to come up with imaginary solutions that will just make people upset (What do you mean you would leave me behind? or But why would your iPhone be more important than PLACE NAME OF ANY OTHER ITEM HERE?) It’s kind of like being drawn into a Kobayashi_Maru, and I, like Kirk, don’t believe in no-win scenarios (did I mention I am a Star Trek geek from way back?) Or perhaps I don’t like the inevitable follow-up question, “Why?” Why? Because you put me on the spot to come up with an answer for something that will never happen! So, why not?
Now that I think about it, maybe it’s just that I like to drive people nuts. That’s probably the better answer 🙂
And now, a picture from the archives. Why? Because…fish mailbox, that’s why!
Oh, and fair warning, you may see this pop up again if I do Cee’s Oddball Challenge this week – this would make a good one!

If I received that daily prompt mail, I’d have to be honest and say I’d go on writing reams of garbage and not read others’. But that would mean I missed out on your hilarious “up yours !” responses to it … So it’s a good thing I didn’t sign up for it, eh, Em ?
(And I’m a StarTrek geek, too; but I never watched anything on TV after the originals; just fell in love with the movies starring my heroes. Have you see “Galaxy Quest”?)
Lesson learned! And, yes, of course I’ve seen Galaxy Quest. But it’s been awhile – I should dig it out next week while I’m off work and spend some quality time in front of that big TV!
