Blogging 101: Love Your Theme

Today’s assignment: try out at least three other themes — even if you’re happy with the one you first chose. Try one you’re drawn to, and one you would never use.

Been there, done that.

After much trial and error – well, it’s never really error since it’s just about making me happy, and I’m happy now. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to continue to try other themes, and have a closer look at what other bloggers I follow are using, and consider why their theme works for them, but I’ve only had this theme for a year, and I think I want to keep it for a while longer. I know some bloggers (you know who you are!) who change themes frequently, and seem to never really be content with what they choose. It does make for some excitement each time I go to their blog, never knowing what I’ll see. But I think I’m just too lazy to change themes and re-set everything up, and then change again.

So, instead, let’s post some pictures of pretty flowers (to brighten this January day)! These are pics I’ve taken over the years, with a variety of cameras, that I’ve never posted before.

  1. AHEM ! Could you possibly, conceivably be referring to … [gasp !] MOI ???
I know, what you write is quite true, Em, me old china. I don’t even know why, to be honest; I suddenly become sick of the site of a theme and obsessed with the need to be rid of it.
    Sighh …
A bit taken aback to finally see you blogging again – on 101, for heaven’s sake ! You don’t need no lessons !!!!
But WELCOME BACK anyway, mate !

    • M.R.!! I was hoping you would drop by!! I have actually enjoyed seeing the evolution of your blog(s). And, yes, I know the blogging 101 is a bit strange for me, but let’s face it – I’m not exactly following the “rules”. Just me trying to get back into the swing of things. And thanks for sending the email to remind me to find your new home. Love the theme!! 🙂

      • This seems to be the most popular of every damned theme I’ve ever used, Emily – and it’s a freebie ! 🙂
Still, I must maintain my customization and my space and my whatever-other-extras; need only abandon the all-premium-themes bit when the time rolls around.
Of course I’d drop by, iriot ! – when did I not, pray ?! [grin]

  2. Oh that butterfly! I love the flowers!

  3. Gorgeous flowers and that last picture with the butterfly is fantastic.
