This is generally the cherry on the top of a long work week.

And this week?  This was the cherry on top this week.  Something, perhaps only Canadians will understand.

I chose this picture because this faded detail was discovered in our office (really a bedroom) underneath wallpaper.

I painted the room, but left the old stencil intact.  It’s one of my favourite original features in our home.

1. (adjective) Additional to what is required for ordinary use.
2. (adjective) Elegantly simple.
3. (verb) To refrain from harming.

I found myself intrigued by the second definition.  I’ve never used “spare” this way before, but here goes:
