December Writing Prompts, Day 20 – Ruffled feathers

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

There were many ruffled feathers as we had to block off the kitchen from the kitties while our ceiling was being fixed.  Aell, not so much fixed as we put a tongue and groove wood ceiling in.  Well, not so much “we”, as our carpenter…  The final “after” will be available after we put our light fixture back up! (and maybe some day I will get to see it with sunshine coming through the windows…)

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

At half past twelve, I woke up.  Dreaming of sugar plums, or were they zombies?  Man.  Why do I have to wake up at half past twleve?  And why am I hungry.  Oh, yeah.  It’s half past twelve in the afternoon!  Must be on vacation 🙂

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

I didn’t do it…it was those rambunctious reindeer again!

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

Along the starlit way, leads the road to my workout.  I never want to get up to go, but I am always happy when I am done and have that feeling of accomplishing at least one thing for the day.

December Writing Prompts, Day 16 – Visions of an empty room

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

This is the time of year when everywhere you go are people, people, people.  Sometimes I just have to close my eyes and create visions of am empty room to get me through the hustle and bustle that is this Christmas season.  Or, maybe it’s best to just go home to this…

December Writing Prompts, Day 15 – The life of a snowflake

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

The life of a snowflake is pretty fleeting in this part of Canada.  I know, Canada?  I thought that was the land of winter all year long!  Well, yes.  I can see where you got that, and you’re not far off if you are talking about everywhere else in Canada.  But not Victoria.  Nope.  It’s a weird place to be at Christmas when all your non-Victoria friends are faced with 10 foot snowdrifts and minus 40 (celcius, you know.)  But here, the life of a snowflake is fleeting.  But when it is here, we do like to take note!

December Writing Prompts, Day 14 – Creameries and confectioners

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

Creameries and confectioners, nothing better in the world than sweet deliciousness smothered in more sweet deliciousness.  But don’t try any of that creamy sweet nonsense in my morning coffee!

December Writing Prompts, Day 13 – The Gothic Greek giant

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

The Gothic Greek giant was what they called him.  We never did know why.  We only know that one day he walked up these stairs, disappeared into the night, never to return.

December Writing Prompts, Day 12 – Icy gumdrop showers

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

Icy gumdrop showers?  Are the gumdrops icy, or the showers?  Ah, words that can modify multiple words in a phrase.  But, either way, I am not a fan of icy things raining down on me, so I’ll pass…

December Writing Prompts, Day 11 – The best thing ever made

From Putting My Feet in the Dirt (https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/), November’s prompts are here: https://puttingmyfeetinthedirt.com/2019/12/01/december-2019-writing-prompts/

The best thing ever made – was there ever even such a thing?  I guess so.  For every moment, there is a best thing ever made for every person.  And to people who say raisins are the the best thing every made, you are what I like to call wrong.
