Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Hot and Cold
For this week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Hot and Cold (https://ceenphotography.com/2016/12/01/cees-black-white-photo-challenge-hot-and-cold/
“This week the topic is Hot and Cold. I want to see things that are either hot or cold. This is a little trickier in black and white. You can have any topic you choose. Weather can be hot or cold, different seasons can imply hot or cold. A stop sign in black and white could convey cold. Smiling people can convert warmth and welcoming. If all else fails, you an always use sepia tones which are more on the warm side and the blueish-black conveys colder tones. I just want you to have some fun with your photography.”

I dug through my archives for this week’s challenge, but it was hard finding B&W Nature photos with no man-made objects in them. This is what I found…

You can show a St. Bernard dog next to a miniature Chihuahua and the St. Bernard would appear to be huge. Have a lot of fun with this topic. ”
Here are some large subjects for your perusing pleasure…
Small boat, large boat
Large “castle”
Really large tree
Large seat of provincial government
Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Older than 50 Years
For this week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Older than 50 Years (https://ceenphotography.com/2016/07/21/cees-black-white-photo-challenge-older-than-50-years-2/)
“This week we get to look to the past. I only want to see photos of things that are 50 years old or older. Old building, cars, bridges, trees, relics, rusty and crusty items are always allowed as long as I can still tell what it was. ”
This is the Old Victoria Custom House, built in 1875. I think it qualifies!
Here is the Chinese Cemetery, which opened in 1903, and closed in the 1950s.
And this, this is our home. Built in 1907, it became a care home in the 1950s, then a B&B in the 1980s, until around 2002 when it was shut down. It sat “empty” (quotes used because it was full of all the furniture and assorted knick-knacks from it’s B&B days) until we bought it in 2012. It has become a friend.
Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Locks and Clocks
For this week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Locks and Clocks (https://ceenphotography.com/2016/07/14/cees-black-white-photo-challenge-locks-and-clocks/)
“This week’s Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge (CB&W) topic is Locks and Clocks. You ask why two totally separate topics? The answer is simple I just thought the rhyming sounded cool together. So you have a choice of featuring either locks or clocks and preferably both items. Have a lot of fun with this topic. ”
