November Poem a Day (PAD) Challenge 2023: Day 25
Hi everyone.
This November I will be presenting to you a month of daily poems as memoir, little ditties to tell you about my day or my thoughts during the day, whatever. Of course I hope you enjoy them, but it’s ok if you don’t. Just move on to the next blog in your list.
Day twenty-five is: “For today’s prompt, write a response poem. You can respond to someone else’s poem (famous or not), or you can respond to one of your own poems (like I did below). Of course, it’s possible to respond to someone or something that’s not a poem: Perhaps, a letter, an old conversation, a piece of art, or a delicious piece of pie.”
You can’t fool us
A great poet
said
the world will
end
in fire
in ice
But only some
say so.
So
do we worry?
I say
fire and ice
are the least
of
our concerns
But I am sure
when the world
ends
some will lay
blame
at the feet
Of fire and ice.
