Goodbye our sweet Jasper
Today we said goodbye to Jasper, after almost 2 months of tests and medications, finding out three weeks ago he was full of cancer, and now the steroids he was on are not helping and it’s time to let him go.
Jasper was a wonderful kitty who we were blessed to have for 11 years. He liked to try to bite fingers and noses, he loved jumping up high and hanging out overhead. He liked to meow good and loud (his kitty name was Grevious) and he loved being around us, but not enough to be overly cuddly. We called him Jazzo, Jar Jar, wazzler, Jarsdale. He had beautiful green eyes and frequently looked startled. And he was the most sensitive kitty we have ever had.
We will miss him. Here are some pictures of Jasper over the years.

Ohhhhh … poor, sweet Jasper! This brought a tear to my eye. After seeing your comment on my Jolly Monday post, I had to come see, for I feared this had happened. Sending you a huge hug, my friend … I know how much this hurts.
It’s never easy as they are our babies.
No, it’s never easy, but I always remember the good times and that brings a smile through the curtain of tears. Some people, upon losing a beloved pet, swear they will never have another, that losing them hurts too much. To me, the joys far outweigh that pain. We have lost countless furry family members, but I cannot imagine life without them. Hugs, my friend.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost our cat many years ago to cancer as well. She was only 12 years old and we loved her dearly. Unfortunately after she passed my husband’s allergy to cats came back and we’ve never had another one since.
I’m sorry you lost your cat, and very sorry you can’t have another one. There are some hyperallergenic kitties…maybe you could have one of those some day.
We’re pet free right now. For 35 years we always had dogs and our one cat. When our last dog passed we decided to not get another pet for awhile so that we could do a little travelling without worrying about our little furry creatures back at home.
So sorry to hear your dear Jasper has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I loved seeing his photos over the years. It’s always heartbreaking when we have to let them go. (((hugs))) my friend <3

I feel your pain, as we had to say goodbye to our sweet kitty princess 2 years ago for the same reasons. Sending big hugs for your family.
It’s never easy, but we can’t not have kitties in our lives.
