“The Hipstamatic filters fall into three categories: lens type, film type and flash type. Before you take a photo in Hipstamatic you choose which lens, film and flash you want to use. The lens determines the colors and tones in your photo. The film determines the frame or vignette around the edge of the image (and in some cases also changes the colors of the photo). The flash allows you to create different lighting effects. The lens, film and flash combinations in Hipstamatic are referred to as “combos.” By using different combinations of lens, film and flash, you can create a wide range of image styles – from faded vintage effects to high contrast black and white photos.” How To Use Hipstamatic App To Shoot Unique iPhone Photos
Blogging from A to Z Challenge: H is for… (#AtoZChallenge)
Welcome to my April 2022 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!
Today, H is for Hipstamatic.
I am sure many of you have heard of Hipstamatic. Another app that you can use with photos or your camera. Effects and filters, designed to look like old fashioned cameras and film and flash. One of the things I like best about this app is that it keeps track of everything you do to the image and tells you all the settings you’ve applied, and if you pull a saved image back it will remember.
Hipstamatic is another one of those apps which can be used with the camera or applied to photos after the fact. There are SO many combinations in this app, and I haven’t played with it a lot, so I know I will be using it more in the future. You have filters, lenses, film types, flashes, and endless varieties of each if you are willing to pay for them. But of course, this means you can create endless combinations of looks for your photos.
There’s a lot more you can do using Hipstamatic as a camera app rather than a photo editing app, but I haven’t given that a shot (hee hee hee) yet!
