Blogging from A to Z Challenge: B is for… (#AtoZChallenge)

Welcome to my April 2022 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!

Today, B is for BeCasso.

BeCasso is basically a “create a painting out of a photo” app.  But I like it because I can smooth out an image, or use BeCasso to sharpen parts of it, before I pull it into other apps.  There is a suite of painting and watercolour and sketch-like filters, as well as some fun more funky filters to try, and you could also create your own (which, full disclosure, I have not tried yet.)  Like ArtLeap, you can use sliders to adjust the amount of filter you are using, so there can be hours of amusement just from that.

To quote Digital Masterpieces, “BeCasso offers styles of famous artists such as Picasso, van Gogh or Hokusai. Fully adjustable style filters (oil painting, watercolor, cartoon, pencil hatching, pop art) and color filters which encourage you to experiment with contour depth, sharpness, and color range to set the mood of your artwork and offer you endless possibilities to best realize your vision.  BeCasso offers a variety of tools for controlling every aspect of the effects. In addition, you can use the new Retouch tools for pixel-precise touch-ups using your finger or the Apple Pencil.:”

And now, here are a few examples of BeCasso at work.  Which is your favourite?
