Heck, they make me smile even though they aren’t blooming yet! I go out and water them most mornings and I chat with them, tell them how big and tall they’re getting, and compliment them on their pretty green leaves. I also talk to the pair of caterpillars that are munching on the leaves … I cannot bear to make them leave, and they aren’t eating that much, after all. And so, when I come back indoors, I am happier for having communed briefly with nature. 😊
