Blogging from A to Z Challenge: G is for…Great (#AtoZChallenge)
Welcome to my April 2019 Great and Powerful Blogging from A to Z Challenge!
I’ve revealed my theme (A picture-story a day (in the life, so to speak)), and as I have every year, I am going to be blogging my theme letters on the fly – this year I didn’t even plan to do otherwise! So, here goes nothing 🙂
Today, G is for…Great, as in Food!
Yes, I’m stretching for today. It’s been a long day and I just want to kick back and do a lot of nothing tonight, because tomorrow is going to be another long one. One of those days when it’s not just busy and full of meetings, but where at least one of those meetings is the kind of meeting you would just rather not do. Or, in this case, not have to do. But by this time tomorrow, it will be done, and with any luck it won’t be as bad as I am feeling it might be.
All that to say that I was not inspired enough today to take pictures of anything representing G. So, instead, let’s reminisce about a Great meal we had on Saturday night, courtesy of friends Judy and Gord.
Starting, of course, with cheese and crackers and pretzels (and yummy homemade pate which was excellent on pretzels!)
Then, wonderful mini-caprese salad skewers, which we drizzled with balsamic.
With lamb, perfectly done…and greek potatoes which for some reason I did not take a picture of (they were photogenic and delicious, so I must have been distracted by the eating of them)…
And homemade cheesecake for dessert – complete with gluten-free pretzel crust And saskatoons on top.
It was Grrrrrreat!!!

And with Gord, too. You have outdone yourself, Emily!
Double G’s!!
The mini-caprese salad skewers look and sound REALLY good! As does everything else, but those really caught my appetite. lol Might have to give them a go sometime. 🙂
Dropping by from A to Z. 🙂
They were really good, and looked easy to make – I’m gonna try them too!
Lawd, I’m so glad my husband is cooking dinner right now! GREAT food share 😛
Thanks to Judy and Gord – it was delish!
