A little road trip to Nanaimo
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/nervous/
In a way, this is kind of a non-avoidance, as I was a bit nervous heading up to Nanaimo yesterday afternoon. We were heading up for a concert, and I knew that there was snow on the mountain (up the Malahat highway) and that there has been a head-on crash earlier in the day. And I also knew we would be driving back at night to get back home.
But, all ended up being well. It was foggy heading up the mountain…
And then, BAM! Snow everywhere! (Excuse the blur as we sped by the snow…)
Then, it was all gone as we came down the mountain. The sun came out, and eventually we arrived in Nanaimo.
A quick bite…
And then….drum roll please….
Well worth the trip – those two put on a great show!! Someday I’ll stay in Nanaimo longer than it takes me to travel through it or go to a concert. But for now, I’m happy we saw a good show and got home safe and sound 🙂

That’s awesome!! I’ve seen Lyle Loveletta couple times and John Hiatt numerous times. Both together? Perfect! I bet it was terrific! 😃😃
It was pretty fine – the two of them just sitting there, surrounded by guitars, chatting and playing. An excellent evening!
Fantastic!!! I love ’em both, but I’m a big fan of Mr. Hiatt!
