Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge, January 29 2017
And now, for this week’s Cee’s Odd Ball Challenge (https://ceenphotography.com/2017/01/29/cees-odd-ball-photo-challenge-january-29-2017/)
“Cee’s Odd Ball Photo Challenge (COB) is all about those great photos that you take which really don’t seem to fit into a common category. We’ve all taken them and like them, because we just can’t hit delete and get rid of them.”
I’m not sure which was odder. This humidifier, or the fact that I kind of wanted one…
Three Line Tales – Week 52
This challenge comes from Sonya at Only100Words (https://only100words.xyz/2017/01/26/three-line-tales-week-52/) , and here are the rules:
“Write three lines to go with the weekly photo prompt (the photos I use are either royalty-free or I’ve been given permission by the photographer to use them; please credit where appropriate) – sideways interpretation is encouraged. The photo is the launch point – take us wherever you fancy.”
Hey Milo!
Let’s spend the night in this abandoned tower in the middle of nowhere.
What could possibly go wrong?
Thursday Doors, January 26, 2017
Here is Thursday Doors from Norm at Miscellaneous Musings of a Middle-aged Mind (https://miscellaneousmusingsofamiddleagedmind.wordpress.com/2017/01/26/thursday-doors-january-26-2017/)
Doors looking for new homes.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Repurpose
“For this challenge, show us something you’ve put to new use. Maybe it’s an old hammock that now forms the climbing wall for your clematis. Perhaps it’s as simple as the matchbook that supports the short leg of your chair. It could be the shedding hair you comb from your dog that will warm the birds’ nests around you. All out of clever? Look to your family, friends, and neighbors — what canny bit of DIY recycling ingenuity has recently impressed you?” (https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/repurpose/)
In today’s Daily Post, I mentioned we had cleaned out some things from the backyard at our rental property that we have sold. This is one of those things.
This is an old stove that we rescued from Kevin’s parents’ home when we moved his mom into a condo many years ago. It sat in our backyard in Regina, and then we moved it here but had left it behind in our rental’s yard until yesterday. Now, in the next few weeks as I clean up the yard for Spring(!), we will be thinking about its permanent home in our backyard here. When we have it sorted out, I, of course, will show it off to you! Now, what plants should I put in it??
Goodbye (no, not to you, dear readers….I’m not going anywhere…)
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/yellow/
Last week we sold our rental house. We lived in it for 4 years when we first bought it, and then when we bought elsewhere were unable to sell it, so rented it to the best people in the world (we sure lucked out!) for 4 1/2 years. Before Christmas, these lovely folks bought their own home and sadly let us know that they would be moving out at the end of January. So, we put the house up for sale again, and last week accepted an offer.
We still had a few pots and things in the yard, so yesterday went over to collect them, and I took a picture of what was our home for 4 years.
We will miss our 1911 gem, with its pretty little yard in back and its beautiful huge maple tree in front. But I am sure the new owners will treasure it as much as we did!

You gotta love the little rosemary flowers. I didn’t know which version would be better, so here are both! Guess they are both a little blurry…sigh…

And heeeeere’s… Cee’s Which Way Challenge! https://ceenphotography.com/2017/01/25/cees-which-way-photo-challenge-january-25-2017/
“This challenge is all about capturing the roads, walks, trails, rails, steps, etc. we move from one place to another on. You can walk on them, climb them, drive them, ride on them, as long as the specific way is visible. Any angle of a bridge is acceptable as are any signs.”
Which way did I go? That-a-way!!

- Choose a favorite macro photo from the past week or from your archives.
- Add the photo to your post and a brief description. I would love to know, as I am sure others would, too, what camera and lens you used and your settings.
