Another fun week of searching for cool textures. So, here are some textures of nutritious things growing in our garden…

what is the second photo–the blue one?
It’s black kale. I believe. It’s a kind of kale anyway. You’d think I’d know what it was I planted…sigh…
Love the water droplets in the first image :-). Any recommended recipes for the kale? I have an ex-in-law that grows it sometimes but I have no imagination to prepare it.
Thanks! As for kale recipes, I usually saute it in butter with garlic and cherry tomatoes, and sometimes mushrooms. I saute the garlic for a bit (in butter), then add the tomatoes (sliced in half), then add the kale gradually (adding salt and pepper, and perhaps a bit more butter) until it’s soft. Cooking time depends on the kale. Some takes longer to soften and lose it’s bitterness. The black kale I find takes less time to cook. I also use the same method to cook spinach and chard, and sometimes will mix them all together! It’s one of Kevin’s favourites!
That sounds like something I’d enjoy too :-). Thank you for sharing! Will tell the ex-in-law to save me some when he has.
Great texture!
Thanks! And yummy too 🙂
Mhm, I shoulda said it was a delicious theme, but I didn’t think that until hours later. I’m slow today. lol
Hey it took me a whole day (and several comments) to think of it!
OH good, I feel better. 🙂
