Scenes from a Monday walk
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/prompts/guest/
I managed to get out again on my lunch hour yesterday for a walk up Mt. Tolmie. I love Mt. Tolmie for its Garry Oak meadows and views of the city. Plus, I feel like I worked out when I’m done! And the way back (all downhill) feels wonderful.
Here are some scenes. Note the brown-ness. It’s July, and even with more rain than usual for this time of year, this is typical Victoria in the summer.
Blackberries soon…another good reason to walk up Mt. Tolmie!
And heading down now…
Finally, back at work. Nothing like a post-secondary campus in the summer!!

I love all the berry bushes in the PNW. When I first moved to Whidbey Island, I was amazed that I could stand in one spot and pick enough berries for a pie.
I love running along paths with blackberries – they keep me going!!
Cool Emily! Yes this looks like a great workout. 🙂 Thanks for sharing hope you enjoyed it. Blessings.
I definitely enjoyed it – it’s always lovely (even on the one day I went and got poured on!)
Sometimes that can be really freeing! Cool, Emily. So glad we are connected via this blog. 🙂
No berry paths on my walks…thanks for sharing yours.
Just wait until they are all ripe!!
