A ballad of the Vacation
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/bedtime-stories/
Nope. I’m not going to write a ballad or a poem or an ode about the Vacation. It was full of ups and downs, good time and bad times, a bit of painting, a bit of walking, and a bit of chopping down shrubs and pulling out stumps. But it’s over now and it’s time to move on. By posting pictures of my final walk, that is.
Here are things I took pictures of yesterday because they made me stop and say, hey! I should take a picture of that.
And now, on to the weekend!

Incredible pictures! Just where was this walk you were taking? The skull and branch “sculpture” reminds me of something out of the first “True Detective.” But, I love it! Thanks for taking us along on your walk. http://judydykstrabrown.com/2015/08/08/night-fantasies-and-other-reading-pleasures/
Thanks! The walk was just around the local neighbourhood, and the skull was hanging in someone’s front yard. Weird, but cool!
Marvellous art deco building ! Attack cat … beware of cockatiels … people are delightful !
Now get back to your excellent job and the excellent way in which you carry it out. I used long to work in academia …
People are fun with what they put in their yards. Now that I can landscape the front yard (well, after painting is done), I am hoping to have some fun too!
Don’t make it too … tricksy, will yer, Em ?
Time will tell… 🙂
