Welcome to Canada Day.  Also, the official start to the Vacation.  You can expect pictures of fireworks tomorrow (as long as we actually go down to the fireworks, I remember to take pictures of them, and some of them turn out).  But for today, let’s talk about yesterday.

It was my last day of work before the Vacation.  After a morning of doing odds and ends, and forwarding emails to colleagues who will be at work next week, I went out for lunch with friend and colleague (and beekeeper) Susan to a little restaurant at the Horticulture Centre called Nourish.

And our Benny’s gone Nuts with vegan hollandaise and sweet potatoes instead of English muffins.  Susan has made a smiley face with petals on hers, and I have bacon.

After lunch, I went to the Butterfly Gardens – I’ll be posting those pics over the next few days.  Here is a taste…
