Mad world
A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/on-the-edge/
One final thing that struck me about the SFU Burnaby campus. Then our journey there ends.
Lots of long rows of empty spaces…
Some with green space…
…some of it filled with empty chairs in anticipation of graduation…
…some of it picturesque…
…and, of course, the obligatory Starbucks at the end.

Beautiful capus space images here. 🙂
Thanks!
SFU is the architectural work of Arthur Erickson who also did The Museum of Anthropology for his Alma Mater, UBC. The personal selection of Arthur Erickson as the architect for the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC by Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau was controversial at the time because Trudeau overrode the selection committee’s choice. Personally, I think SFU is a wonderful space–a space which could also benefit from a really good power-hosing down. Very very nice photographs.
Thanks! And, yes – Erickson has a very impressive resume and the campus is quite stunning. But I still don’t think I would want to be on the campus all winter…
Is it summer break? Is that why it looks desolate? The university here in town is that way now:)
Yes – it’s much less busy at this time of year. Thanks for visiting!
