Let’s be honest here…

A new kind of Daily Post response begins.  A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt.  I mean, if I’m going to avoid it all the time, I may as well be transparent about it!

My friend Darca treated me to dinner last night (at a place caller Rebar – a vegetarian restaurant in town that apparently also serves fish tacos.  They were delicious!)

Anyway, after a great dinner and excellent chat (sorry for talking your ear off Darca), we went for a bit of a stroll through downtown and then ended up walking around (and through) the Empress Hotel (you may remember the Empress from E is for Empress Hotel, one of my A to Z Challenge posts.)  As we started walking around, I remembered the beehives.  So, I made Darca go look at them with me.  There were many more honeybee hives there this time (although I, of course, forgot to take a picture) AND there were bees in the viewing panel.  Here they are!  Pretty cool (especially when there is something between you and them.

As the sun was setting over the water (like it has a choice), we headed off in our separate directions.  It was a nice evening!  Thanks Darca!!

Yeah – I like this new format.  I posted more today than I have for the last week’s worth of Daily Posts combined!

A response in avoidance of the Daily Post’s Writing Prompt https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/singular-sensation-2/If you could have a guarantee that one, specific person was reading your blog, who would you want that person to be? Why? What do you want to say to them?

  1. keep up the good work!

  2. These beehives look like skyscrapers. How complex!

    • They are pretty cool. I now want to learn more about bees – not have them in my yard (aside from my mason bees), but they fascinate me!
